Katie earned her master’s in social work, LMSW, at Loyola University. She also holds a business degree from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, where she complemented her studies with a focus on psychology. Prior to joining True Mind + Body, Katie trained as a clinical intern in a residential setting, providing care and support to young adults navigating a range of mood disorders.
At True Mind + Body, Katie provides traditional talk therapy, with a focus on teenage girls and women experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, OCD, low self-esteem, body image concerns, family dynamics, and major life transitions. She has a particular passion for working with young adults facing periods of adjustment—whether it’s transitioning out of high school, starting college, entering the workforce, or learning to navigate the complexities of early adulthood.
Katie prioritizes building strong therapeutic relationships, believing that a safe, trusting environment is key to meaningful progress. Her approach is holistic, tailoring each session to the unique needs of the individual. She draws from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic, CBT, narrative therapy, and strength-based approaches to create flexible, client-centered care.
Outside the therapy room, Katie is an avid runner and values the mind-body connection. She embraces the role that movement and physical wellness play in supporting mental health and overall well-being.
