Rashad Smith, LPC

Rashad is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with children, adolescents, adults, athletes, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, grief, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Rashad helps clients better understand who they are, where they may feel stuck, and how they can move forward in healthier and more meaningful ways. His approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-informed care to support clients in building insight, resilience, and lasting change.

As a former athlete, Rashad especially enjoys working with athletes and students facing performance pressure, identity development, burnout, and the challenges that can come with transitions both on and off the court. Having played college basketball at the University of Tulsa and professionally overseas for several years, he understands firsthand the mental and emotional demands that come with athletics and high performance. He values creating a space where clients feel comfortable speaking openly without fear of judgment while exploring new perspectives, emotional patterns, and healthier coping strategies.

Rashad earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Tulsa and his Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School.

Outside of therapy, Rashad enjoys sports, living in the energy of the city, and riding his longboard as a form of meditation and grounding.
