Tait specializes in working with adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, relationship and family conflict, parenting challenges, difficult childhood experiences, anger management, and grief.
Tait’s path to becoming a therapist was shaped by her own life. Having navigated the ups and downs of adolescence, along with significant challenges like the loss of a parent and life in a blended family, she experienced firsthand how powerful a compassionate, supportive therapeutic relationship can be. Today, she considers it a privilege to witness the growth of the people she works with. Clients can expect a direct communication style, a strong focus on relationships, and a bit of humor along the way.
With training in Marriage and Family Therapy, Tait views challenges through both an individual and a systemic lens, recognizing how deeply our wellbeing shapes, and is shaped by, our families and closest relationships. Her approach draws primarily from Narrative Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy, with a solution-oriented framework, and she integrates additional methods as needed to tailor care to each client. In her work with couples and families, Tait helps set shared goals to break negative interaction patterns, improve communication, build healthy boundaries, and restore connection.
Outside of her work, Tait loves staying active and exploring the outdoors. She’s passionate about traveling, discovering new music, and collecting vinyl records, and she recently started learning to sew (tips welcome!).
