inMotion Child & Adolescent Therapist
True Mind + Body, PLLC is seeking a Licensed Therapist who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults AND is passionate about conducting mental performance coaching and psychotherapy in an active setting. Candidates must have experience working with children/adolescents and love to be active in a therapeutic environment.
Position Description:
This role offers a unique hybrid of traditional talk therapy and “InMotion Therapy.” InMotion Therapy (IMT) is a cutting-edge program that takes place in our one-of-a-kind private sports court offices. During IMT, kids are engaged in active play designed to increase self awareness, build social-emotional skills, and generally offer a fun and safe environment for age-appropriate relational therapy. All team members in the inMotion Therapy department receive extensive training in IMT.
In addition to this, InMotion therapists also have the opportunity to work as Mental Performance Coaches with athletes, teams, and coaches. In this role, the clinician helps young clients cultivate the mindset and skills necessary for success in academics, sports, and personal growth. This unique role offers the opportunity to integrate clinical therapy with performance coaching to support clients in achieving their full potential.
Client Population:
Children and adolescents along with their families (common presenting issues include ADHD, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, family and interpersonal relationship issues, self-injury, low self-esteem, etc.
Athletes and/or athletic teams/organizations.
Additional clients with performance based anxieties.
Qualifications:
Must hold a License in their field (LSW, LCP) and preferably a clinical license in their field (PsyD, LCSW, LCPC, LMFT).
Holding an additional licensure of Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) is a bonus, but not required.
Proficient in play therapy, with experience working with children
Proficient in CBT (Cognitive-behavioral therapy) and BT (Behavioral Therapy) treatment modalities
Experience with mindfulness
Experience working with parents and families
Additional Requirements:
Networking and community outreach
Participation in practice presentations to parents, community, schools
Participation in weekly group supervision and monthly multidisciplinary team case-consultation
